Cycle II · Edict 3550–3580

Rise of the Silent Elder

By the time Zorphed rose to leadership around Edict 3580, the Serpentkin had already built an immense subterranean network beneath the toxic mountains of the Sunken Coast. He inherited a culture of secrecy and made concealment, caution and self-preservation even more central to its rule.

Cycle II · Edict 3580–3600

The Silent Watch

Under Zorphed, Coiledhold strengthened the defences and secrecy of its underground labyrinth and cut most remaining ties with the outside world. He became known for rarely appearing in public, listening more than speaking and waiting for the moment when action would serve the Serpentkin best.

By Edict 3600, Coiledhold remained one of Aethelgard’s most difficult realms to penetrate, its people still watching the changing world from below.
