Cycle II · Edict 3306–3307

The Skyreach ambush

Acting on Voltanis’s orders, Vexia selected elite Shade Weavers and placed them in concealment around Skyreach. In Edict 3307, her forces emerged against Velorax’s Dragonkin army and unleashed Tier Two Umbral Veil attacks from the shadows.

The ambush almost annihilated the Dragonkin aerial force and left Velorax with the wounds that would kill him the following year.

The prison of Nyxalor

After Ragnarok, Astraia judged the Shade Weavers for their alliance with Chaos. Vexia and her people were returned to Nyxalor and enclosed behind a spatial barrier intended to hold them there for three full Cycles—thirty thousand Edicts.

Death in isolation

Vexia never lived to see the barrier lifted. Roughly fifty to one hundred years after the war, she died of natural causes within Nyxalor’s isolation.

Because the city remained sealed from the outside world, news of her death and the identity of her successor remained uncertain beyond the prison for a long time.
