Revival and reopening

Korgan reignited the underground forges and led the rebuilding and expansion of the kingdom. Against older habits of isolation, he opened Khazad-Dur to active trade and carried Dwarven craftsmanship and engineering across the continent.

By Edict 3600, Khazad-Dur had become one of the post-war world’s major industrial and commercial centres. Korgan’s creed—fire hidden in deep rock, fine craft shaping the world—captured the hope he placed in patient strength and skilled work.
