Cycle II · Edict 1601–2000

Self-exile and the founding of Aethelheart

After the First Celestial War, Lyanna rejected Concordia’s model of coexistence and led like-minded Elves into the distant Emerald Expanse. There she encountered exiled Chroniclers and advanced beyond ordinary Nature Magic into Tier Two Primal Vitality.

Using that power, she guided ancient trees into structures and defences rather than building over the forest. Across Edicts 1601–2000, Aethelheart emerged as a bioluminescent city whose architecture, magic and natural systems were inseparable.

Cycle II · Edict 3251–3300

Rejecting Chaos

When Voltanis began calling the peoples of Aethelgard toward Chaos, Lyanna refused him outright. She tightened Aethelheart’s isolation, strengthened the Emerald Expanse’s natural defences and closed the forest against outside intrusion.

Cycle II · Edict 3347

The defence of Aethelheart

During Ragnarok, Abrogator forces tried to corrupt and force a passage through the forest. Lyanna led the Elves in a guerrilla defence shaped by nature magic and the living terrain itself.

Archon Solara later sent Aeterna reinforcements. Together they drove the invaders back and kept Aethelheart from falling.

Cycle II · Edict 3351

The choice to remain

After the war, Lyanna attended Astraia’s judgment as an Elven representative. When Ordinus offered mortals sanctuary in Aethelos, she refused to leave the forest she had sworn to protect.

She returned to the Emerald Expanse after her specific memories of the divine judgment and Aethelos were erased, carrying only the certainty that the war had ended and her home still needed her.

Cycle II · Edict 3360–3600

Guarding the recovering forest

Through the long recovery, Lyanna continued to lead Aethelheart under a strict policy of isolation while the Emerald Expanse healed. Only a narrow outward thread remained, with a small number of younger or more curious Elves leaving for Havenstone to settle or trade.
