Precision and patience
Elves belong to the Twelve Mortal Civilisations and possess an innate, graceful relationship with First Tier Nature’s Craft. They do not die of old age, although they can still be killed, and their long lives support traditions of patient mastery in archery, stealth, scouting and fine craftsmanship. Where Magicians study natural magic academically, Elves tend to use it as an instinctive extension of movement, perception and the living environment.
Their strengths favour precision rather than mass. Elven communities are comparatively few in number, making costly warfare dangerous to them, but individual Elves can spend centuries refining a craft or discipline. This combination of longevity, magical instinct and low population gives Elven civilisation a distinctive rhythm: deliberate, highly skilled and often reluctant to spend lives or knowledge carelessly.
