Cycle II · Edict 951–1100
The arrest mission and Lyra’s death
Vorlag led the Pure Enforcers as the Aeterna moved to arrest the dissident Tier Four deity Theros. The mission was meant to end in capture, but Vorlag exceeded that order during the fighting outside Veridia.
He struck Theros’s sister Lyra from behind with an arcane attack far beyond ordinary Tier Three force and killed her. Theros answered his sister’s death with a devastating Terraforming Edict that destroyed a quarter of Veridia and helped ignite the First Celestial War.
Cycle II · Edict 1201–1250
Schism and the hunt for Vorlag
The killing of Lyra was seen as a corruption of the Order Vorlag claimed to serve. Almost all Abrogators broke with the Aeterna and moved toward Chaos, while many Chroniclers abandoned Veridia out of conscience.
Lord Voltanis, enraged by the deaths of Theros and Lyra, formed the Sundering Host and made Vorlag one of its first targets for revenge.
Cycle II · Edict 1251–1300
The fall of Vorlag
Vorlag led an Aeterna rearguard among the ruins of western Veridia when Voltanis and the Khaotari host reached him. He was overmatched by the Tier Four Chaos power and the army around it.
By Edict 1300, Vorlag had been struck down and consumed by Chaos magic, ending the life that had become one of the war’s earliest symbols of vengeance.
