Exploiters of the Elder Weave
The Abrogators are the Chroniclers’ opposing Third Tier power. They also work directly with Arcane & Conduit Magic, but their philosophy treats the Elder Weave as something to be extracted, redirected and used at whatever cost is necessary. Their practices are associated with magical siphoning, corruption, aggressive transmutation and destabilising manipulation of arcane structures.
That distinction is fundamental to understanding Tier III in Aethelgard. Chroniclers and Abrogators can touch the same underlying magical reality while reaching opposite conclusions about responsibility. The Abrogators embody the danger of knowledge without restraint: not uncontrolled primordial force, but deliberate exploitation of the systems beneath ordinary magic.
