First City
Veridia は Second Cycle 初期に生まれ、Aethelgard 最初の permanent settlement となりました。Cycle II · Edicts 101–300 の間に複数の mortal peoples と higher Celestial powers が肥沃な Veridian Shore に集まりました。
wards、cultivated land、waterways、civic works によって、First Cycle の単純な communities を遥かに越える urban civilisation が成立しました。
Verdant Accord
成長は formal government を必要とし、Edicts 301–450 の Verdant Accord が communities と powers の役割を定めました。秩序をもたらす一方 hierarchy も明確になります。
Veridian Decrees は authority と higher magical knowledge への access を規制し、安定のための規則は次第に硬い social order の一部となりました。
圧力の中の調和
繁栄しても対立は消えず、rival Celestial philosophies が都市を強く形づくり、規則を変える力を持たない人々の resentment も増えました。
戦争前の Veridia はなお壮麗でしたが、founding ideals には大きな圧力がかかっていました。
The First Celestial War と滅亡
Celestial divide は The First Celestial War へ発展し、Veridia はその中心で破壊されました。
破壊は城壁を越え、Veridian Shore を汚染して Sunken Coast へ変え、恒久的な geographical scar を残しました。
Legacy
Veridia は achievement と warning の両方として残りました。最初の大規模 multi-species civilisation であり、Celestial conflict の代償を示す例でもあります。
World Explorer では戦争前の Veridia を ruins の記憶ではなく、生きた都市として見ることができます。
