Aerie Folk are one of Aethelgard’s Twelve Mortal Civilisations and are immediately distinguished by their feathered wings and physiology adapted for sustained flight. Their natural magical tradition belongs to First Tier Nature’s Craft, especially subtle manipulation of air currents that improves aerial movement and complements their already exceptional eyesight.
Flight shapes nearly every aspect of their strategic identity. Aerie Folk excel at reconnaissance, archery, rapid movement across difficult terrain and coordinated action from the air, while enclosed spaces and prolonged ground combat reduce many of those advantages. Their culture strongly values freedom, observation and precision, making the sky not simply a place they travel through but the environment around which their civilisation is organised.
