Khazad-Dur, the Stoneheart Citadel, lies deep beneath the meeting point of the Whispering Peaks and the Ashfall Wastes. Its carved halls, blazing forges and layered underground defences display the Dwarves' mastery of mining, engineering and precision craft without reliance on magic. Rich mountain deposits and heat-forged ores feed workshops whose goods travel across the continent, making the rebuilt hold an influential trading hub without diminishing the fierce independence at the heart of Dwarven society.
