Saphel is the Genesis Council’s World-Smith, whose divine authority encompasses creation, structure, matter and physical form.

Cycle I · Edict 1–2500
At the beginning of creation, Saphel drew raw aether from the void and compressed it into physical matter. Across two and a half millennia she forged the bedrock of the continents, filled the oceans and kindled the sun.
She also wove the Ancient Web into the depths of the world, binding magic into matter itself. When the First Cycle’s work was complete, she withdrew with the Council to the Aetherium Nexus.
Before Cycle II · Edict 3347
When Astraia’s imprisonment threatened the balance of the world, Saphel initially supported Ordinus’s refusal to intervene directly. She believed the underlying laws of creation had not yet collapsed.
Viridar later claimed that Voltanis had gained Tier Five power and could not be faced alone. Saphel joined the Council in approving Viridar’s request to raise a mortal army, unaware that the report was part of a larger deception.
Cycle II · Edict 3347
When Viridar turned on Voltanis, Saphel descended outside Arcanum with Astraia and Noctarion. She raised an immense mass of seawater and transformed it into a prison harder than stone, trapping Voltanis long enough for the other gods to act.
She then confronted Viridar, striking at her with golden chains of law and wounding her before Viridar escaped by tearing open the dimensional prison around her.
Cycle II · Edict 3348–3351
After the war, Saphel opened great portals and drove the remaining Khaotari back to Khaosgard. She then laid a permanent divine barrier over the city to keep the exiled people within it.
She later sat among the judges in the Hall of Truth as Astraia answered for the choices that had helped unleash the war.
