Follow Viridar's life in chronological chapters. Some dates are exact, while others span the years in which events are known to have taken place.
Cycle I · Edict 5001–8000
After the physical foundations of the world had been forged, Viridar filled them with life. Forests rose where she sang to stone, the seas filled with living things, and the mortal peoples took shape through her work.
Before Cycle II · Edict 3327
Viridar came to believe that the Genesis Council’s policy of balance and non-intervention had allowed suffering to harden into the world. She began to imagine a complete rebirth that would first require the old order to be broken.
After Astraia was captured, Viridar volunteered to recover the missing rune but instead travelled to Khaosgard and allied herself with Lord Voltanis. She returned to the Council with a false account of his power and won permission to raise the Bio-Construct army known as the Blade of Life.
Cycle II · Edict 3327–3330
Disguised as the human mage Sylvia Nightshade, Viridar infiltrated Concordia and drew the ambitious Kaelen Valerius into forbidden magic and opposition to his mentor, Archmage Elara Starweaver.
Viridar used Tier Five life magic to kill Elara in Edict 3328. She later staged Sylvia’s own apparent death, pushing Kaelen and the city’s mage leadership further into violence and helping turn Concordia’s political crisis into collapse.
Cycle II · Edict 3347
At the height of Ragnarok, Viridar turned her Bio-Construct forces against Voltanis and declared that he had only ever been a tool for clearing away the old world. Their alliance became a divine battle above the war-torn continent.
When Saphel, Astraia and Noctarion descended against her, Viridar was wounded and cornered. She destroyed half of her own life essence to rupture Astraia’s dimensional cage and escaped in a severely weakened state.
After Cycle II · Edict 3347
Viridar disappeared after the battle. Ordinus ordered Noctarion to pursue her across whatever worlds she might flee to and return her to the Council for judgment. By the opening of Volume One, that hunt has not ended.
