First City
Veridia는 Second Cycle 초기에 생겨 Aethelgard 최초의 permanent settlement가 되었습니다. Cycle II · Edicts 101–300 사이 여러 mortal peoples와 higher Celestial powers가 비옥한 Veridian Shore에 모였습니다.
wards, cultivated land, waterways, civic works를 통해 First Cycle의 단순한 communities를 훨씬 넘어선 지속적 urban civilisation가 세워졌습니다.
Verdant Accord
성장은 formal government를 요구했고 Edicts 301–450의 Verdant Accord가 communities와 powers의 역할을 규정했습니다. 질서를 제공하는 동시에 hierarchy도 더 분명하게 만들었습니다.
Veridian Decrees는 authority와 higher magical knowledge 접근을 규제했고 안정 목적의 규칙은 점차 더 경직된 social order의 일부가 되었습니다.
압박받는 조화
번영해도 갈등은 사라지지 않았고 rival Celestial philosophies가 도시를 더 강하게 형성했으며 규칙을 바꿀 힘이 없는 이들의 resentment도 커졌습니다.
전쟁 직전의 Veridia는 여전히 장엄했지만 founding ideals는 큰 압력을 받고 있었습니다.
The First Celestial War와 몰락
Celestial divide는 The First Celestial War로 번졌고 Veridia는 conflict의 중심에서 파괴되었습니다.
파괴는 성벽을 넘어 Veridian Shore를 오염시켜 Sunken Coast로 바꾸었고 영구적인 geographical scar를 남겼습니다.
Legacy
Veridia는 achievement이자 warning으로 남았습니다. 최초의 대규모 multi-species civilisation였고 Celestial conflict의 대가를 보여준 사례이기도 합니다.
World Explorer는 전쟁 전 Veridia를 ruins의 기억이 아니라 살아 있는 도시로 보여줍니다.
