Historical account

A city in the embers

When the Second Celestial War ended in Edict 3350, the old centres of civilisation could not simply return to their previous lives. Around Edict 3355, Human survivors came back to Concordia’s devastated river delta. Rather than restore the fallen city exactly as it had been, they began a new settlement among the wreckage and named it Havenstone.

Rebuilding together

Havenstone’s recovery became a multispecies project. Dwarven engineers brought masonry and reconstruction expertise, Magicians from Arcanum helped clear dangerous residual magic and reinforce foundations, and Elven druids aided the damaged ecology. A New Council of Four was established in Edict 3380 with stronger safeguards against autocracy, and by around Edict 3500 the new city had grown beyond the scale of its predecessor.

Historical significance

What changed here

The Silent Years are not an empty pause between wars and stories. They are the period in which survivors deliberately build institutions meant to answer the failures of the world that came before them.
