Historical account

The siege that stalled

Valitra ordered the Crystalforged to seize Concordia after years of ultimatums and growing internal weakness. Mortal defenders could not match the constructs directly, but the Chroniclers finally intervened, using Weave Manipulation and Dimensional Warping to disrupt Crystalforged formations and command pathways. What Valitra expected to be a simple takeover became a costly resistance.

Valitra descends

The Supreme Commander answered the setback personally. Once Tier IV Aeterna power entered the battle, the mortal and Chronicler defence collapsed. Valitra replaced the Council of Four Voices with Aeterna rule and ordered the Chroniclers into exile for defying her authority. Concordia survived physically, but the political experiment that had defined the City of Harmony was over—and the pressure placed on its Magician population would soon drive another exodus.

Historical significance

What changed here

Concordia’s first fall is political rather than physical. The city remains standing, but self-government is broken, the Chroniclers are expelled, and the conditions that lead directly to Arcanum are created.
